I designed my pasta cutters after a museum piece from 1800. These are extremely rare and can cost $100 or more in gourmet kitchen stores. Mine are beautiful in Cherry and Walnut with sharp cutting edges and deep incurves between, allowing the cutter to clear the thickness of the dough. The small size makes short work of fettuccini (1/4in noodles). The larger size can cut dumplings, crackers and stripes of dough for lattice work pies (3/4in) A thousand satisfied customers have praised their performance and ease of clean up - much simpler, more organic than a complex and expensive pasta machine. These are a rare collectors item and a beautiful lathe turned sculpture from an earlier time. Delicious homemade treats. A great gift item and a family heirloom to be.
