Chili Recipe

Hey everyone,

The weather got colder last weekend.

I figured it would be a good time to make a warm bowl of Chili.

I wanted to share with you my Chili recipe.

Please note that no meat was put into the chili (e.g. Vegan and Vegetarian friendly).

Below are the ingredients I used:

  • 15 ounce can of light red kidney beans
  • 15.5 ounce can of chili beans
  • 15.5 ounce can of dark red kidney beans
  • 15.25 ounce can of corn
  • 24 ounce jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • Crockpot
  • Measuring spoons
  • Can opener
  • Collander

Here is how I made the Chili:

  • I opened the cans of beans and corn with a can opener.

  • I poured the cans into a collander to drain. I gave it 10 minutes to drain. I poured the contents into crock pot.

  • I poured the jar of spaghetti sauce on top of the contents in the crockpot.

  • I measured out each spice and seasoning and put each measurement in the crockpot.

  • I mixed all of the contents together.

  • I set the crockpot on high and let it cook for an hour. It was ready in an hour.

Let me know what you all think of this recipe.

Cherry Yogurt Dessert Recipe

Hey everyone,

I’ve had followers on Instagram wanting me to do more recipe posts.

Here’s one that is interesting.

As you noticed in a previous post, I got greek yogurt from my grocery haul this month.

Here is the link to that post:

My Grocery Haul For December

However, I accidentally bought a couple of tubs of plain greek yogurt (thinking they were Vanilla Greek Yogurt).

I didn’t want to drive back to the store to exchange the tubs of yogurt.

I had a can of cherry pie filling I didn’t use last month.

So, I decided to be creative and mix it with the plain greek yogurt.

Here’s what I used:

  • Spoon
  • Can opener
  • Container to put the mixed yogurt in
  • 32 ounce containter of Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 21 ounce can of cherry pie filling

Here’s how I made the dessert:

  • I opened the container of plain greek yogurt and put the yogurt in the big container.

  • I opened the can of cherry pie filling and put it on top of the plain greek yogurt.

  • I mixed the two together until the yogurt looked like it was mixed thoroughly.

Here’s how the dessert looked:

It was very delicious.

Please let me know what you think about this recipe.

Thank You and Have A Great Day,

Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share with you a recipe I made for Thanksgiving dinner.

It’s not healthy, but I figured they would be a good recipe to have next time you have a get together to attend (especially over Christmas).

Here’s the ingredients I used:

  • 16 ounce box of macaroni noodles
  • Cheese sauce
  • 16 ounce bag of shredded cheese
  • Microwaveable pasta boiler (If you want to boil a pot of water that’s fine)
  • Crockpot
  • Serving spoon

Here’s how I cooked the food:

I opened the box of noodles and put them in the microwaveable pasta boiler.

I filled the container up to the proper water line (so I had the right amount of water in there).

I put the container with water and noodles in the microwave for 27 minutes. (I didn’t put the lid on there).

I put the lid on the container and drained the water out of the pasta.

Once the noodles were cooked, I put them in the crockpot and added cheese sauce.

I added the bag of cheese to the mixture.

I mixed it all together.

I set the crockpot on low for 2 hours (I checked it periodically).

Here’s how it looked:

This is a great dish to take for get togethers.

Please let me know what you think of this dish and how it turned out for you (if you tried it).

Homemade Vegetable Soup Recipe

Hey everyone,

Last week, I had 7.5 pounds worth of potatoes that were about to be rotten.

I decided to cut them up and put them in two crock pots worth of vegetable soup I was planning on making.

Here’s what I used to make the vegetable soup:

2 crockpots

-7.5 pounds worth of potatoes

-Two 48 ounce cans of Spaghetti Sauce

-One 16 ounce bag of frozen mixed vegetables

-One 16 ounce can of black beans

-Once 16 ounce can of spinach

-Teaspoon of chili powder; garlic powder; onion powder; red pepper flakes; and italian seasoning

-Water (Each crockpot got a 48 ounce Spaghetti Sauce can worth)

Here’s how I made the soup:

  • I chopped up all of the potatoes into bite size chunks.
  • I distributed the bite size chunks into two even piles and put the piles into each crockpot.
  • I put half of the bag of frozen mixed vegetables into each crockpot.
  • I put half of the can of black beans into each crockpot.
  • I put half of the can of spinach into each crockpot.
  • I put a teaspoon of each seasoning into each crockpot
  • I poured in a 48 ounce can of spaghetti sauce into each crockpot
  • I took a 48 ounce spaghetti sauce can and poured water into it twice (one for each crockpot) and dumped it into each crockpot.
  • I put each crockpot on high for 4 hours.
  • Once the potatoes were tender, I put each crockpot on low for an hour.

Here are pictures of how the soup looked:

My overall opinion?

I liked the soup. It was healthy and tasty. I would do this recipe again. I might try to put pasta or rice in the soup (next time), instead of potatoes (or cut back on the potatoes I put in).

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how I can make this soup better (or what our opinion is on the recipe if you tried it).

Thank You and Have A Great Day,
