What I Spent My Leftover December Money On

Hey everyone,

Last week, I shared with you all how I did on my budget.

The link to it is below:

How I Did on My Budget In December

I had $703 dollars left.

Where did I spend it all?

  • $403 of it went towards a new computer for work.
  • $25 of it went to a new tablet for me to read.
  • $3 of it went towards a new Roku player.
  • $10 of it went towards a Pizza Buffet.
  • The remainder of it went towards 2 dental appointments I had.

Here are pictures of some of the items I bought:

I know I didn’t get a lot of stuff.

However, I’m thankful I had the leftover money to cover the filling and removal of a tooth.

If I didn’t have that money, I would be in a financial mess.

Please let me know what you think.

My Grocery Haul for January

Hey everyone,

I started to run out of food in my house.

So, it was time for me to go grocery shopping again.

This month is a very busy month.

So, I did my shopping through Kroger’s ClickList again.

I had better luck with it this time.

They were only out of the salsa I wanted.

It’s not a big deal to me because the salsa was going to be for a snack.

If I run out, I can get another bottle at the dollar store.

Here is what I got:

Here are some deals I scored on:

  • 99 cents for 6.6 oz bag of Goldfish crackers
  • 2.50 for a 32 oz tub of organic vanilla yogurt
  • 2.88 for a 20.6 oz box of Red Baron Pizza (which will be great for weekends)
  • 2.50 for 64 fl oz Kroger brand Almond milk
  • 5.99 for a 5 pound bag of Mandarins
  • 5.39 for a 64 oz container of peanut butter
  • 1.00 for a 12 oz bag of frozen vegetables

Here are some meals I plan on making this month:

  • Ramen noodle bowl with vegetables
  • Homemade vegetable soup
  • Pizza night on the weekend (with the frozen pizzas I mentioned earlier)

Please let me know what you think.

  • Use dish soap to wash my hands and my body instead of paying a lot for hand soap and body wash.
  • Using Hulu and Netflix instead of paying for a cable subscription.
  • Eating out less and more at home.
  • Rewearing stuff that has been sitting in my closet for a while.
  • Going for a walk daily outside instead of paying for a gym membership.
  • Cutting down my trips to once or twice a week.
  • Making simple meals at home with not a lot of ingredients.

Trial I’m Going Through Right Now

Hey everyone,

Today’s post is going to be different than most posts.

I’m going to share with you a trial I’m going through right now.

Last week, I went to the dentist to get a chipped tooth filled.

As they were filling the tooth, they told me that I had to pay hundreds of dollars to get the tooth removed or pay thousands of dollars for a root canal.

Neither of those options sounded to thrilling.

I decided to pay the hundreds of dollars to get the tooth removed (I couldn’t afford to pay thousands of dollars for a root canal).

The issues I have with my decision are as follows….

  • I have to spend the extra money I had leftover in December to pay for the procedure.
  • I couldn’t find an oral surgeon close to my house to get the procedure done.
  • Because of that, I have to take a day off of work to get the procedure done (the appointment is an hour away). I hate missing work because it’s the busy time of year at work for me.
  • The appointment is early in the morning (I’m not an early morning person).
  • My dental insurance will not cover the procedure. I’m going to have to pay full price for it.

It sounds like a major trial.

But in the book of Job, Job had a lot of trials he had to face.

I think God is putting me through this to put my trust in Him and not myself.

I ask prayers for the situation I’m going through.

The appointment is next Friday morning.

I will give you all an update on this situation.

Please let me know if you have anything I can pray for you about.

Thank You and God Bless You,

Millennial Buddy
